HealthQuest, a local volunteer organization dedicated to inspiring health, happiness, and balance in Oscoda and its neighboring communities, will be promoting National Nutrition Month in March. On Sunday, March 11, between the hours of noon and 4:00 pm, HealthQuest ambassadors Tara Roberson and Martha Gottlieb will be stationed at the entrance of Family Fare in Oscoda. The community is invited to meet with them to seek advice or ask any nutrition-related questions. As well, the two will be offering healthy food samples and recipes, nutritional tips, and introducing HealthQuest’s Healthy Cookbook challenge, which will be open to the public.
National Nutrition Month originated in 1973 and is supported by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Occurring annually in March, it is an educational campaign focusing on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
HealthQuest is excited to be promoting National Nutrition Month and looks forward to meeting the community this coming Sunday. For more nutritional information, visit HealthQuest online at www.healthquest4you.com.
