HealthQuest is sponsoring two events in support of Earth Day. The first is “Earth Day Rocks!”, an evening of rock painting with an environmental twist. This will be held on Thursday, April 19 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Truly Yours, 116 N. State St. in Oscoda. Participants will paint two rocks and take the smaller one home, leaving the larger one to be part of a community environmental rock garden. There will be a $5 fee at the door, which covers all of the supplies.
On Earth Day, Sunday, April 22, there will be a community beach clean-up. This free event runs from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at the Oscoda Beach Park bandshell and continues from 10:15 am – 11:15 am along Lodge Rd. on the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base. Attend one or both of the clean-ups or simply do what you can in your own neighborhood. Bags for the beach and park clean-ups will be provided.
We look forward to having you join HealthQuest in celebrating these Earth Day events and making our community a cleaner and more environmentally pleasant place to live, work, and visit.
